Hosted by the greats, Tammy Wynette and Glen Campbell, this is a wonderful document of the first 20 years of the Academy. With many live and tape archival musical performances by the likes of; Claude Akins, Alabama, Eddy Arnold, Debby Boone, Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels, Donna Fargo, Janie Fricke, Charles Haid, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Lee, Patsy Montana, The Oak Ridge Boys, Patti Page, Charlie Rich, John Schneider, Charlene Tilton and a ton more, seriously. Not an award show or a contest, this is a reunion of friends and family. Top notch and pretty rare. One personal highlight - at the end of the show you have a cluster of stars gathered as "The Academy of Country Music All-Star Band". Along with all the other great names is a gentleman named Byron Berline, a fiddle player. If you're a fan of The Rolling Stones, circa "Let it Bleed", you'll notice the name.
