Powers That Be, The (1992) TV series 1992-1993

William Powers is a clueless senator whose career is run by his manipulative wife Margaret, his chief of staff/mistress Jordan and his political aide Bradley.

A so-so show with a stellar ensemble cast, either up and coming or deeply seasoned. IE; Eve Gordon 7 years before her stint as Mrs. Partridge or Joseph Gordon-Levitt 4 years before going big with "3rd Rock...". Conversely, John Forsythe 11 years after "Dynasty". Broad, loud slapstick-ish comedy, nothing deep but a fun watch. John Forsythe was Hollywood by the numbers. Consistent and convincing, one of the best.
