Star Trek: A Captain's Log (1994) (TV)

If you're a non-Trekkie, "Star Trek: A Captain's Log" is no place to start learning about this cherished science-fiction show's lasting appeal. Host William Shatner — Trek's Captain James T. Kirk — presents a batch of clips from the original Star Trek's three seasons. If you're a Trek devotee, chances are good you've seen these scenes many times over; if you're not, it's a baffling jumble, so what's the point? A Captain's Log seems to exist primarily as a commercial for the feature film Star Trek Generations, plus the recent autobiographies of no fewer than three of the series' cast members: Shatner, Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura), and George Takei (Mr. Sulu). - Ken Tucker, Entertainment Weekly  December 2, 1994

Star Trek Saga, The: From One Generation to the Next (1988) (TV)

Watch as the baton passes from one to the other. This is hosted by Patrick Stewart not Jonathan Frakes. Includes the original 1 hour pilot episode, "The Cage" with Jeffrey Hunter. This is very rare and rarely seen, an excellent document of the franchise to that date.

TV's Funniest Game Show Moments (1984) (TV)

With tons of archival material and special appearances by Bob Barker, Bert Convy, Bill Cullen, Richard Dawson, Mark Goodson and Gene Rayburn this is a fun watch. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

Search for Houdini, The (1987) (TV)

Live from The Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, CA on Halloween night, 31 October 1987. This is the 61st anniversary of Houdini's death.

Hosted by William Shatner with support from Harry Blackstone, Jr., David Copperfield, Glen Falkenstein, Frances Willard, Dean Gunnarson, Bill Harris, The Pendragons, Penn and Teller, Amazing Rhandi, Steve Shaw, and Bob Steiner. Among many great live performances an actual seance is observed. This is classic stuff.

Rescue 911 (1989) TV series 1989-1996

In this early example of police-based reality TV hosted by William Shatner, we are treated to reenactments of real-life 911 rescues. Recordings of the actual calls, interspersed with interviews with the paramedics and other rescue workers, provide a vivid look at the life-or-death dramas that occur every day. My personal favorite television show, never a bad episode or segment.
