The 2001 Teen Choice Awards were held on August 12, 2001, at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Universal City, California. The event didn't have a designated host with Shaggy, Aaron Carter & Nick Carter, Nelly, Usher, Eve & Gwen Stefani, and BBMak as performers.

71st Golden Globe Awards, The (2014) TV Special

The 71st Golden Globe Awards, honoring the best in film and American television of 2013, was broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on January 12, 2014, by NBC, as part of the 2013-14 film awards season. The ceremony was produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Woody Allen was announced as the Cecil B. DeMille Award honoree for his lifetime achievements on September 13, 2013, and Diane Keaton accepted the award for him. On October 15, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were announced as the co-hosts for the second time in a row and as the co-hosts for the 72nd Golden Globe Awards. The nominations were announced on December 12, 2013, by Aziz Ansari, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde. American Hustle, Behind the Candelabra, Breaking Bad, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Dallas Buyers Club were among the films and television shows that received multiple awards.

2002 World Music Awards, The (2002) TV Special

The World Music Awards is an international awards show founded in 1989 under the high patronage of Albert II, Prince of Monaco and is based in Monte-Carlo. Awards are presented to the world's best-selling artists in the various categories and to the best-selling artists from each major territory. Sales figures are provided by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Nine awards are voted online by the public. The awards are gold-plated, each depicting an artist holding the world.

2001 World Music Awards, The (2001) TV Special

Chart-topping R&B artist Sisqo and actress Carmen Electra will host the 2001 World Music Awards in Monte Carlo. The 13th annual ceremony will take place May 2 at the French Riviera hotspot Le Sporting d' Ete (the Sporting Club). The spectacle will air May 28 in the U.S. on ABC at 9 p.m. ET, and will be syndicated to television outlets in 160 countries.

Shaggy, Nelly, Enya, Nelly Furtado, Christina Aguilera, the Backstreet Boys, and Ricky Martin are among those scheduled to perform. Rod Stewart, who will also perform, will receive a lifetime achievement award.

The awards are based on sales figures supplied by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, and will honor the world's best-selling artists in 2000. All proceeds from ticket sales to the show will benefit the Princess Grace Hospital and the Monaco Aide and Presence Foundation.

The Backstreet Boys emerged as the top act at last year's ceremony, as they walked away with four awards -- best-selling pop group, R&B group, dance group, and American group. Mariah Carey was awarded a special prize for best-selling pop female artist of the millennium. Michael Jackson took the comparable male prize.

42nd Annual Grammy Awards, The (2000) TV Special

The 42nd Annual Grammy Awards were held on February 23, 2000 at Staples Center, Los Angeles. Santana was the main recipient with eight Grammys, tying Michael Jackson's record for most awards won in a single night.

The green Versace dress of Jennifer Lopez was the subject of much media attention following the awards. Christina Aguilera became the second youngest artist to win a Grammy Award at 19 years and 2 months old. She is also the youngest Latina to win a Grammy.

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin has 2 entries on the final list, including the top spot. She's #8 for 'Nessum Dorma' in 1998 and #1 for a stellar 1990 performance of her signature hit, "Respect", and it is THE definitive live version. Long live the Queen!
